Ms. Lina – Store Manager
Lina is our Store Manager, joining the Gymboree Family in November 2019. She comes to us with a background in Sales, Operations, Human Resources, Partnerships, and experience as a mom. She is passionate about bringing joy and connection to everyone she meets, and has a passion for growth and development, starting at the very beginning with young children. Her favorite thing about working at Gymboree Play & Music is interacting with and creating connections with the parents and the children that come in.
“I was born in a family where music and play was part of my foundation growing up. I absolutely love how Gymboree Play & Music fosters exploration, discovery, through music and play. I love seeing the kid’s eyes light up when they discover something new and also when they see something familiar that they love like Gymbo! I also love watching parents connect with each other and develop friendships that go beyond our walls”
Miss Stephanie – Training Manager
Miss Stephanie joined our Gymboree family in September of 2017. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Educational Studies, with a minor in Psychology, from California Lutheran University (CLU) in May of 2018. She also earned her Elementary Teaching Credential from CLU in June of 2019. She is currently a Response-to-Intervention Teacher at Arroyo Elementary School in Simi Valley! Her favorite class to teach is Play & Learn Walkers!

Miss Diana – Assistant Manager
Miss Diana has been a teacher with Gymboree Play & Music, T.O. since July 2018! Currently, she is a student-athlete at Ventura College majoring in Child Development and plans to continue her education at CSUCI in Early Childhood Studies and Psychology. She aspires to become a Child Behavioral/ Family Intervention Therapist to support families struggling with hardships, trauma, and difficult situations in order to cultivate a positive, healthy, nurturing environment for them and their children. She has a strong passion for child development and loves working with children, guiding them, and helping them thrive! At Gymboree, she has this opportunity! Miss Diana has had several years of prior experience working with children.
“My favorite classes to teach would have to be Preschool Steps, Crawlers, and Explorers! I absolutely love seeing each little one grow through play and celebrating their accomplishments alongside their families! This positive learning environment is one of the things I love most about Gymboree!”

Miss Michelle – Teacher
Gymboree family in November 2019. She will be graduating from Royal High School in June 2020. She will be attending Moorpark College for her general two year education and then transferring to a university after. Miss Michelle is currently taking medical terminology and is excited to keep studying to become a pediatric oncology nurse! Her favorite classes to teach are Play & Learn Explorers and Family Play & Learn.

Miss Jess – Teacher
Hi! My name is Jessica and I joined the Gymboree team for the post- pandemic opening in July of 2021. I recently graduated from Cal Lutheran with my degree in education, and am currently working toward my teaching credential and masters degree. I am student teaching in 1st grade, and I love it! When I’m at Gymboree, my favorite class to teach is runners.
“I love working at Gymboree because there is nothing I love more than working with kids. Gymboree is a place where I can sing, dance, and be silly all while helping kids grow socially and developmentally. I mean, can you think of anything better?!”
Miss Molly – Teacher
Miss Molly has been at Gymboree since January 2019! She graduated from Newbury Park High School in June 2019 and has continued her education at California Lutheran University to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner. She has been a Girl Scout since 2003 which has given her lots of volunteer experience working with children. She has also been a babysitter for 6 years.
“My favorite class to teach is our Walkers class because I love seeing our little ones’ personalities grow as they obtain new skills! My favorite thing about Gymboree is all the connections I have made with the kids and parents over time, as well as being able to support them in their growth!”
Miss Julene – Teacher
Hello! I’m Miss Julene and I am so thrilled to be a part of the Gymboree team! My Gymboree journey began the year I was born, as I actually grew up attending classes myself. Now, I have my Bachelors of Music from the University of Cincinnati and a HUGE passion for incorporating music and play into the development of little ones.

Miss Tiersa – Lead Teacher
Miss Tiersa has been a part of our Gymboree family since November of 2014 and is our site advisor/trainer. She earned a BA in Psychology with an emphasis in Child and Family Development from California Lutheran University. She is currently attending Simmons College to obtain her MSW specializing in Child & Family Services to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Her favorite class to teach is Play & Learn Babies to help infants achieve milestones and discover their senses and surroundings.
“I have always loved the happiness, joy, and positivity Gymboree fosters. Being able to see little ones grow, learn, develop, and flourish while having fun in classes is so amazing. I love being a part of such an optimistic and spirited team, as well as all the wonderful families we are able to make connections and lasting relationships with!”
Miss Charisse – Lead Teacher
Miss Charisse joined the Gymboree family in February of 2016 in Simi Valley and transferred to the Thousand Oaks location in July of 2017. She earned a BA in Psychology with an emphasis in Child and Family Development, and a minor in Philosophy, from California Lutheran University. She is currently in a master’s program at Pepperdine University working towards an MA in Behavioral Psychology. Her favorite classes to teach are Play & Learn Runners and Explorers!
“What I love most about Gymboree are the relationships! I love seeing the relationships between the child and the parents grow through play. I love seeing children develop friendships with other kids or parents making new friends with other parents! I love the relationships I’ve built with the families and with my co-workers. I feel like Gymboree is a very special place to build long-lasting relationships”
Miss Sarah – Lead Teacher
Miss Sarah is our teachers and she joined our Gymboree family in May of 2018. She is currently attending Ventura College majoring in Child Development. Her career goal is to become a speech and language pathologist for young children. Her favorite classes to teach are Preschool Steps and Play & Learn Babbies because the children are beginning to explore their environment with a sense of wonder, which creates a great class atmosphere.

Miss Taylor – Teacher
Miss Taylor joined Gymboree in June 2019. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Educational Studies with a minor in Sociology from California Lutheran University in December 2018. She is now working on obtaining her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from CSU Northridge which will be completed in May 2020. She has been dreaming of being an elementary school teacher since she was 4 years old.
“My favorite class to teach at Gymboree is Walkers because I like the energy of the beginning stages of walking! What I love most about Gymboree is having the ability to see children advance through their physical, cognitive, and social development all while having fun!”

Mr. Jeremy – Teacher
Mr. Jeremy joined our Gymboree family in November 2018. He has degrees in music composition from Shenandoah Conservatory and California Institute of the Arts. He is currently looking into getting a music teaching credential and would love to teach K-5 general music in public schools. His favorite classes to teach are Play & Learn Runners and Explorers because it’s great to see the children begin to use their imaginations.

Miss Miranda – Assistant Manager & Teacher
I’m from Atascadero, California and am currently a senior at Cal Lutheran University. I started at Gymboree in November 2018. In May I will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Educational Studies and a minor in Psychology. My career goal is to become a Speech Pathologist and work with children and families who are struggling with different speech disorders. I absolutely love working at Gymboree. During my time at Cal Lutheran, I have completed several courses on child development as well as learning theory and I get to use that knowledge when teaching my classes. One of my favorite classes is level 4 because the air log freeze is one of my favorite activities!

Miss Jules – Teacher
Miss Jules started at Gymboree in September 2019. She is currently attending California Lutheran University and working toward a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Educational Studies and a minor in Communications. She hopes to move back home to Southern California and become an elementary school teacher at a Title I school and give her students the love and education they deserve. Her favorite Gymboree classes to teach are Play & Learn Walkers and Runners!

Miss Emma – Teacher
Miss Emma started at Gymboree in September 2019. She is currently attending California Lutheran University and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Educational Studies with a minor in Psychology. She hopes to later earn a master’s degree in Special Education working with elementary leveled students with disabilities. Her favorite class to teach at Gymboree is Family Play & Learn!

Miss Hillary – Teacher
Miss Hillary joined our Gymboree family in November 2019. She graduated from West Virginia University with a major in Journalism and a minor in Philosophy. She has been nannying for the past few years, and decided to bring her love for little ones to Gymboree! Her favorite class to teach is Runners because of the upbeat pace and energy that the toddlers bring to the class.

Miss Makayla – Teacher
Gymboree family in June 2016 in Simi Valley and relocated to the Thousand Oaks location in November 2019. She earned a BA in Fine Arts from UC Berkeley in May 2019. Miss Makayla is using her Gymboree experience as a stepping stone to becoming an art teacher and/or children’s literature illustrator in the future! Her favorite classes to teach are Play & Learn Runners and Explorers!
