Miss Zandra - Manager

Alexandrina (Gymbo name Miss Zandra) is our Store Manager and she joined our Gymboree family in December of 2017 and is our site manager. She is going into her senior year at California Lutheran University studying Interdisciplinary Educational Studies and Psychology. One of her favorite classes to teach is level 3 because of the development you can see in little ones learning how to walk and perfecting their skills.

Miss Tiersa

Miss Tiersa has been a part of our Gymboree family since November of 2014 and is our site advisor/trainer. She earned a BA in Psychology with an emphasis in Child and Family Development from California Lutheran University. She is currently attending Simmons College to obtain her MSW specializing in Child & Family Services to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Her favorite class to teach is Play & Learn level 1 to help infants achieve milestones and discover their senses and surroundings. 

“I have always loved the happiness, joy, and positivity Gymboree fosters. Being able to see little ones grow, learn, develop, and flourish while having fun in classes is so amazing. MIss Charisse

Miss Charisse joined the Gymboree family in February of 2016 in Simi Valley and transferred to the Thousand Oaks location in July of 2017.  She earned a BA in Psychology with an emphasis in Child and Family Development, and a minor in Philosophy, from California Lutheran University. She is currently in a master’s program at Pepperdine University working towards an MA in Behavioral Psychology. Her favorite classes to teach are Play & Learn levels 1, 2, and 3!

“What I love most about Gymboree are the relationships! I love seeing the relationships between the child and the parents grow through play. I love seeing children develop friendships with other kids or parents making new friends with other parents! I love the relationships I’ve built with the families and with my co-workers. I feel like Gymboree is a very special place to build long-lasting relationships”.

Miss Stephanie joined our Gymboree family in September of 2017. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Educational Studies, with a minor in Psychology, from California Lutheran University in May of 2018. She is currently pursuing a teaching credential from the Cal Lutheran Graduate School of Education. Her favorite classes to teach are Level 1 and Level 2!

“I love Gymboree because I get to see our little ones grow and develop over the time that they spend here and knowing that I was part of that experience is so rewarding! Hip Hip Hooray”!

Miss Sarah is our Assistant Manager and she joined our Gymboree family in May of 2018. She is currently attending Ventura College majoring in Child Development. Her career goal career goal is to become a speech and language pathologist for young children. Her favorite classes to teach are Play & Learn levels 2 and 3 because the children are beginning to explore their environment with a sense of wonder, which creates a great class atmosphere.

“What I love most about Gymboree is having the ability to build meaningful connections with the children and families I meet and witnessing the progress each child makes within their development”.

Miss Diana

Miss Diana joined our Gymboree family in July of 2018. She is currently in her 2nd semester at Ventura College majoring in Child Development. She plans on continuing her education at CSUCI in Child Development/ Education and Psychology to become a Child Behavioral Therapist and Family Intervention Therapist to help families struggling with unfortunate situations and traumatic events and help create a healthy, positive, and nurturing family environment for children in these tough times. She has a strong passion for working with children and helping them thrive developmentally! With several years of experience working with kids, she’s excited to join as a teacher!

“I'm a new face at Gymboree and have been here a little shy of a month, but I already love all the classes that I've been learning to teach! Especially Level 4 with the exploration of binary topics, imaginative Family Play, and little Levels 2 and 3 as we strengthen muscles and enhance the development of our little ones! The Gymbo Family is so kind and friendly! There's such a positive, encouraging, and enthusiastic environment for both families and staff. I am so passionate about Gymboree's philosophy and am so grateful to be a part of it!”

I joined our Gymboree family in November 2018. I have degrees in music composition from Shenandoah Conservatory and California Institute of the Arts. I’m currently looking into getting a music teaching credential and would love to teach K-5 general music in public schools. My favorite classes to teach are Play & Learn levels 5 and 6 because it’s great to see the children begin to learn to use their imaginations.

I’m from Atascadero, California and am currently a senior at Cal Lutheran University. I started at Gymboree in November 2018. In May I will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Educational Studies and a minor in Psychology. My career goal is to become a Speech Pathologist and work with children and families who are struggling with different speech disorders. I absolutely love working at Gymboree. During my time at Cal Lutheran, I have completed several courses on child development as well as learning theory and I get to use that knowledge when teaching my classes. One of my favorite classes is level 4 because the air log freeze is one of my favorite activities!

Hi! My name is Ms. Vanessa. I am originally from Port Hueneme but have been living in Thousand Oaks for about 4 years. I am a mother and preschool teacher. I have my AS in early childhood education and have worked in child development centers for over just 9 years now. I joined the Gymboree team in December 2018. So am still pretty new but love all the different classes and age groups. I think my favorite class so far is Play & Learn Level 3. I love to see the children beginning to walk. 

“What I love most about Gymboree is watching the children sing along with all their favorite songs and seeing their faces light up when Gymbo comes out to play!”

I am Miss Molly and I have been at Gymboree since January 2019! I am graduating from Newbury Park High School in June 2019 and will be continuing my education at a university to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner. I have been a Girl Scout since 2003 which has given me lots of volunteer experience working with children. I have also been a babysitter for 6 years.

"My favorite class to teach is our Walkers class because I love seeing our little ones' personalities grow as they obtain new skills! My favorite thing about Gymboree is all the connections I have made with the kids and parents over time, as well as being able to support them in their growth!‚Äč"
